Case study · Legal (Miami, USA) · LLM SEO
Priced out of Miami’s ad war, they won the channel competitors didn’t know existed.
Arias & Pereira practises immigration law and criminal defence in Miami — one of America’s most brutal legal markets, where national directories own the rankings and PPC costs are ruinous. Instead of outspending anyone, we put the firm inside the AI answers their clients were already asking. Six months later: five times the qualified leads, same ad budget.

The problem: unwinnable by conventional means
The baseline audit was stark: across 50 target queries, zero mentions in ChatGPT, zero Perplexity citations, zero AI Overview appearances, zero Gemini references. Meanwhile their actual clients — often recent immigrants, often Spanish-speaking households — were asking AI tools to explain their legal options before ever contacting a lawyer. The firm was absent from every one of those conversations. The causes: AI crawlers blocked at server level, no citation-ready content, no entity markup, and no Spanish-language content at all.
What we did
Month 1 — technical foundation
- Unblocked GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended at server level
- Created llms.txt defining practice areas, geography, and authority pages
- Implemented LegalService, Attorney, and LocalBusiness schema
Month 2 — content architecture
- Mapped the 35 immigration questions people actually ask AI tools
- Wrote 35 citation-ready passages (150–170 words each) answering them
- FAQPage schema on six practice pages, plus Spanish versions of the five highest-traffic immigration pages
Month 3 — presence where models look
- Citations on Avvo, FindLaw, Justia, Super Lawyers, Martindale-Hubbell, and state bar directories
- 20 genuine Q&A contributions on Quora and legal forums
- Two editorial placements in Miami-area legal publications
Results after six months

| Ad spend | baseline | unchanged |
The takeaway
When the front door is a bidding war, find the side door. The firm’s clients had already moved to AI research; the market just hadn’t followed yet. Being early to that channel — in two languages — produced growth that no realistic PPC budget could have bought.
